PPP should maintain and retain its outlook as centre-left political party and should have close interaction with the centre-left and social democrats governments in the world. It is irony that the media (almost whole media has rightist posture) has been hostile to PPP since its inception. Either there were no sincere and concerted efforts to interact with the media positively and convey its messages affectively or the media had not been receptive and willing to acknowledge and appreciate the positive and constructive cotributions of the PPP governments. The bottom line is that PPP must have a competent and dedicated media managers to affectively interact with the media.
There needs to be cohesion and harmony amongst the leaders of the party - right from the chairperson to the tehsil level leader of the Party. It seems that the Ministers are working on daily wages and are moving on different directions. They do not seem to have a common objective and the internal intrigues are visible from their statements and behaviour and attitudes. PPP leadership including the Prime Minister must select few Ministers to speak on public or policy issues and not everyone should be let loose to damage the cause of the goverment and the party by participating in talk shows without having any background knowledge of the subject. There should be a team of experts which should brief every leader of the party who is likely to participate in the TV debate on a particular issues.
There should be performance bench mark for every minister and his continuity in the cabinet must depend on the performance and not on the bases of blackmailing the party leadership.
Every cabinet member has right of dissent within the cabinet meeting and not in the public. When a member of treasury bench walks out, he loses moral grounds to remain in the party. Treasury members should not act as member of Opposition.
It is an irony that PPP offers sacrifices for the democracy and whenever it comes into power the whole rightist parties join hands against it although none of those parties can morally claim of having sacrified or struggled for the democracy.
Highlight your achievements effectively and aggressively with being shy of anyone. Let people know what this party has done for the general masses and for the country.

PPP's agenda should be " stability to Pakistan " , a transparent governance with rule of law as its haul mark, with emphasis on education for people of Pakistan to understand value of democracy and particpate in the process to atain and maintain democratic rule. And above all provide solution to common man's problem through provision in the agenda for a common man would support a rule that serves their cause - common man's security, employment, health care, essential requirements such as water and electricity, and priority on merit in every walk of life

we agree to disagree. If we want to strengthen PP than we have to strengthen Pakistan first. When I was a kid, i used to listen to remarks like (God Forbid) Pakistan is falling. at that time i wondered why people are saying such things. But now when I am a grown up, I see things falling around me. Each day, I read new stories... stories that horrify my soul.

If we run our country like this, then how and what can we offer to our near future except reconciliation, lawlessness and misery.

I demand a better future from my leaders.... I demand rapid steps to provide relief to working class which is the back bone of our economy.... i demand wisdom in the decisiions...
in turn i offer my my young blood my entire life my future my voice to my party. Jiye Bhutto

@fauzia wahab Perhaps the fact that right wingers seem to be systematically predominant in Pakistan's print and electronic media. To confront them, PPP needs to develop well informed and well presented scholars and politicians who could present their arguments and PPP's case in a convincing manner to the audience.

Also the fact that compared to certain right wing parties (PTI, JI, PML-N), PPP seems to be under-represented on the internet and blogs.

PPP politicians and activists may like to make good use of some of the resources (articles, data, arguments) available at the LUBP.
