Time for a reality check people – Imran Khan is merely another Pakistani politician – albeit with some achievements to show for in other spheres of life, unlike most other politicians. No one gets anywhere in Pak politics unless they pay homage to Hazrat Army or Hazrat Amerika (not a typo) and often on an alternating basis. Let me dare say the two Hazrats are the one and the same – two sides of the same coin, if you will. Anyone who sees hope in either of these sources is a fool and bound to be disappointed. What about the government of the people, by the people and for the people ?
This article is just another beatup and an exercise in pot calling the kettle black. Stop insulting everyone’s intelligence unless you can further a constructive and unbiased argument.
The only thing that matters to the people, is who is willing to put them first and solve the everyday problems they face, rather than sham sloganeering, self agrandisement and lining of own pockets which have been the hall mark every dispensation, civilian or military, to rule this god forsaken land. Call me cynical but I don’t see a light at the end of this tunnel – yet!
There could be flaws in Imran Khan’s speech, there could be contradictory and vague statements but some points are very clear:
1. He has mobilized educated youth and specially those sections of society who never goes to political rallies with families.
2. He has used nationalistic approach which attracted masses, he didn’t use religious and regional biases to address public
3. Youth don’t want old faces, they want CHANGE.
