Critical Supporters of Pakistan People’s Party (CSPPP)
Formed in June 2008, this group is committed to providing constructive criticism on the policies of Pakistan People’s Party while remaining committed to the original 1970 manifesto of the party based on the following four principles:
- Islam is our Faith
- Democracy is our Policy
- Socialism is our Economy
- All Powers to the People
The founding principle of the Party Islam is our religion places a responsibility on each PPP supporter to reach out in a spirit of accommodation and tolerance to all faiths, to prevent the state from interfering in the religious rights of the citizens (which breeds sectarianism) and to treat people of all faiths with respect enabling them to enjoy religious freedom and equality before the law.
The second principle of the PPP ideology is that democracy is our policy. The PPP commitment to freedom and fundamental rights, including freedom from hunger and want, is written in the blood of its martyrs and in the red marks of lashes on the back of its workers. It is written in the suffering and sacrifice of its leaders the greatest of whom was Quaid e Awam. He faced the gallows refusing to bow before tyranny defending the human rights of our citizens to the last of his breath. In every age, including today, PPP leaders and office bearers are behind bars, in exile, banned from travelling defending their Party at greater personal cost to their families and themselves. We are proud of our workers who kept high their morale even as political orphans and opportunists colluded in the murder of justice to eliminate the one political counterforce to the powers of the Establishment.
The third PPP principle is that socialism (musawaat) is our economy. Believing in a humane economic system, the PPP aims at creating a just and equitable society with equal opportunity for all its citizens. The gap between the rich and the poor is one that can be bridged given the commitment to reach out to the underprivileged, the downtrodden and the discriminated. The PPP is proud of being the voice of the poor, the working classes and the middle classes. Our policies, while dedicated to the underprivileged created conditions that enabled the business and trading classes to prosper. We believe that humans are one chain and by helping one part of the human chain, all the interconnecting nets are also helped. We believe that violence begets violence and peace begets peace. Our leaders reject revenge to devote themselves to the challenges of governance producing a society that grows and develops to the advantage of the citizens where the writ of government provides security to the citizen as well as opportunity.
The final principle of the PPP is All Power to the People. We believe that Almighty Allah has blessed the citizens of this world as His trustees. The people are God’s agents and it is the verdict of the people freely expressed that can bring true blessings to a land and enable us as Muslims to co-exist in peace and harmony with Non Muslims to build together a world of peace, freedom, justice and economic opportunity.
These four principles are described by the PPP workers as Bhuttoism, the policy that guides us in our decision making and enables us to work with dedication and determination to fulfil the dream of Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam. Source

…there is some excellent media fact checking available on the blog Let Us Build Pakistan. This is a blog that is openly supportive of PPP, so that must be considered, but their media fact-checking is quite excellent and provides and important alternative to the commercial media commentary that still dominates public dialogue.

At last media has attacked the websites with all their so called “fair journalism” weapons, last night in capital talk that is hosted by Mr. Hamid Mir on “Geo News” with his 3 guests including Ansar Abbasi a “The News” journalist and Mr. Javaid Hashmi of PML(N) and Sumsam Ali Bukhari of PPP, Hamid Mir has exclusively shown the blog Let Us Build Pakistan maintained by my fellow bloggers Abdul Nishapuri and his team, Mr. Hamid Mir and Mr. Ansar Abbasi criticized the blog through out the program with all their white journalism’s words, Mr. Hamid Mir highlight the program with the tag of “PPP members criticized army and media” and Mr. Ansar Abbasi added the statement that Let Us Build Pakistan is operated from the presidency…This is not the first time that media is raising fingers on bloggers and webmasters, but the bloggers are ready to face the situation and will not sit quite at this time it will be dealt accordingly. Unfortunately, most of our urban middle class intelligentsia is damningly silent on the atrocities committed by the Taliban. LUBP has probably been the only blog that has consistently highlighted the repeated massacres of the Shias, the pogroms against the Christians, Ahmedis and Sikhs as well as the militant actions against Baloch Nationalists.
Today, the likes of ….. want to dictate that progressive blogs like LUBP stop supporting the correct initiatives of the government and instead join the establishment band wagon of the selective lynching of PPP. They want the LUBP to become just another civil society blog that bases their stance on the reactionary and establishment-fed gossip and innuendo spewed in the drawing room parlours of the elite.
Our feedback as those who stand by the LUBP is as follows:…. we will not abandon our progressive ideals and what we feel is the promise and potential of the PPP as currently the only political force that respects and represents the plural traditions of Pakistan.
We support our party, warts and all and will continue to anchor ourselves with progressive movements that are free from those who practice the facist politics of religion and ethnicity.
You can continue to vent your confused ramblings on the scores of other blogs and TV channels. Your class can continue to celebrate privately and shed crocodile tears publically every time a charismatic leader like ZAB or BB is executed by the establishment.
You can continue to find solace in your mythical depiction of Jinnah and Iqbal; we on the other hand will continue to strive for progressive and secular ideals that are anchored in realpolitik.

Due to the 40 years of Military Ruleing, our nation is divided in two parts one is in faviour of BHUTTOs and other one is Alliance Against Buttos`.
World change after Z.A BHUTTOs`,soviat invasion ,down fall of shah iran ,Afgan fight,Iran -Iraq war, berlin wall, and in the last hong kong.obeviously politically unstable Pakistan till now .
Too many things re-introduce in the politics in the era of 80s,spread hateism between Muslims and non-muslims,among muslims sectarian violence.Both getting fuel from the same point.
There is no doubt about it that 9/11 was the worst incident of the world may GOD put them in HELL who did it,this is because,infact the American People is loyalest and very innocent poeple of the world ,this is the way of American People.this is because of their justice system.
After spreading this much hateism in the world about muslims surprisingly American people rose against attack on Iraq.
Just as after WW2 too many countries become Independent ,same after 9/11 Global Village enter in the IT revolution,from which whole Globe on your fingure tips.

PPP Leadership and Workers.
PPP has a long history of a long lasting beautiful relationship with its workers. Its leadership did not forget, for a moment that its workers and people have primary importance. This is the reason behind slogans
‘’ long live Bhutto’’ and ‘’ Benazir shall rule’’.PPP leadership promoted liberal elements in every dimension of Pakistani cultural life. Poets wrote eulogies for their leaders, singers composed lovely songs for Bhuttos of Pakistan. Liberals despite all
disappointments, thought PPP leadership have got what it takes to combat narrow-mindedness strategic depth mafia and violence loving mullahs. Majority of public, likewise always thought that PPP leadership has the capability of solving problems of food, shelter, justice and dignity.
ZAB had not elitist pretentions of sharing food with a poor desert women(Qayyum Nizami).Benazir sent a street hawker to pilgrimage.(Nahid Khan).This humanity, this bonding with downtrodden, this love affair with deprived is the main reason behind PPP success story.Bhuttos and other PPP leaders like Aitzaz
and Zardari resisted tyranny bravely with the support of public. Zia, Musharref, Nawaz Sharif, mullahs, and ISI could not kill PPP because people knew that PPP leadership suffered for them.
This love affair is under threat these days. Because, leadership have ignored people of Pakistan and party workers. this excellent blog LUBP is an example.PPP opponent journalist are propagating against the bloggers of this website(Hamid Mir and others).PPP leadership attempt to distance themselves from this website(Nabil Gabol).no minister, no leader is contributing for this blog apart from a few Zardari messages.
Ironically, PPP have no newspaper and TV channel to
speak for them. This website provides an opportunity
to PPP supporters to present their message. However,
we do not get a single message from party leadership
to encourage these bloggers. This is callousness; nobody would expect this neglecting from ZAB and BB.
The cowards like Fauzia, Samsam and Pervaiz Ashraf have preoccupied them with their good personal image. They, no longer, defend PPP with good arguments. This website is doing their job. They do not send their messages to this website.
Lucky for PPP because its workers and supporters derive their courage of defiance from its martyred
leaders and workers. Otherwise, these supporters would not bother to defend a party of people.
Problem lies in the fact, if people began to feel that
these leaders no longer imbibe the spirit of PPP,these
pretenders of Bhutto spirit would find their place where sun does not shine.
I think PPP needs a strong injection of modernity when it comes to its media strategy. I shall write about it later on.
I hope this website would start getting some original
contributions from party leadership sooner than I expect.PPP leadership were persecuted but they did not break its ties with its workers, supporters and people of Pakistan. Their message of optimism was very loud and clear. That message of better life has found its place in People’s heart. These, whispering apologists must start mending their bonds with people or get ready for dustbin of history.
We have to do all it takes to build Pakistan. We have to unite at this second and fight extremism and support the army and Government in their position against extremists and the Taliban who have been taking innocent lives over the past.
Now is the time when we all require unity at its best. We all have to stand up like ONE unified nation and give a clear message to the militants that we have no space for them in our country. This Pakistan was not meant to be a land of the militants. We are for pure democracy and separation of powers.
Bhutto was undoubtedly a great leader and icon in the history of Pakistan. I think if he was still alive he would probably make the strictest of laws for extremists so that one could not repeat their barbaric acts. All democratic country have the harshest of laws for terrorist.
We have gotten this democracy back after a few years of fight against dictatorship. Let me make you guys clear we can not let army come again! Any further instability will be freehand to the extremist something we cannot afford keeping in mind that last year was a disaster in all aspect for our country.

The word Policy makes it sound weak as well as not being the original slogan. Politics is the right phrase.

dear administrators of lubp. before jotting down my comment let me assure you that i am not against ppp in any way. rather i am a big admirer of the founding father of ppp mr Zulfiqar Ali bhutto. Ieven have in my collection all the speeches of Mr bhutto till his death. but there is one thing i want to bring to light about PPP in general and your site in particular. The common people of this country have this feeling that PPP is a self centrered party which always seems to talk about ITS SACRIFICES AND ITS OWN MARTYRS. In the last night episode of Kal Tak(June 8, 2010) Faisal Raza Abidi was publicly accused by Javed Ch of staying in PC at the expense of PIA. Faisal Raza Abidi challenged him to prove this otherwise tender a public apology. As we all know this will not be done yet Faisal Raza Abidi and PPP needs to take care of this, by bringing the hotel record in to public as well as challenging these contemptuous and defamatory words into a court of law. Such propaganda needs to be stopped.

@aley Personally I think the onus is upon Javed Chaudhry to produce an evidence against Faisal Raza Abdi.
Senator Abdi too may consider taking a legal action against JC, now that Fauzia Wahab has set a bold precedence by lodging a legal case against Ansar Abbasi.

The PPP appears to be completely ignorant about the quantum of the First word ISLAM of its first declared principle ” Islam is our Faith” and also about the CREATOR of ISLAM, ALLAH. Islam is a complete comprehensive human life SYSTEM declared completed by its Creator ALLAH in all respects and auspects of human life till the end of the world from individulal to state level and for whole humanity.Rest of the three principles are shown not derived from ISLAM but based on PPP’s ideology, which proves to be other than ISLAM against the concept of Islam. This makes all the four principles of ppp ambigious and obscure from the sight of its leaders and PPP’s supportes. Thus the perception of all of the supporters is blured and obscure. This leads to the disaster of the People of Pakistam. This is what is happening with the People of Pakistan. I have e-mailed two articles to the editor if he could dare to publish them on LUBP site. ALLAH may gude us to the RIGHT PATH by the blessings of this sacred month of Ramdan. A’meen.
